Not sure if its been posted here before and I suspect it is something more like apple juice, but this is not really a good look to anyone watching.

Would seriously NOT recommend doing this yourself at any match, even more so in view of spectators/players who can and will very likely use this against you (if it is pre match or half time).

I suspect it wasn’t alcohol, but agree the optics aren’t great. I do wonder if the referee staged it to get social media likes.

I would hope his RDO has had strong words though. Should this referee make it through to senior levels this will keep be thrown back in his face and it will probably curtail his development.

I did see a comment that this was a charity match.
Not sure how much that changes, but worth being aware of I suppose…

If youre out wearing the county logo on your shirt, charity or not, you're representing them.
Its not a good look as someone from afar could see it, not realise it may be a prank for social media likes, and if he ends up refereing them on Sunday and that person who saw it got sent off, this video could be used as evidence to say he couldve been under the influence and has history of it and therefore could not be trusted to give a proper judgment.

I don’t disagree. But I suppose it’s very slightly less concerning than if he was doing it on a national league system game. Still not advisable either way of course.
