2nd game abandoned in 3 weeks

Seriously considering giving it up, or at least go on a long break for now.
this afternoon ladies game, one team delayed the kick off for about 40 minutes, just because an asinine chairman/manager
decided that his team cannot possibly start a game while one of his player removes the industrial amount of metal adorning her body.

Despite having 14 players in total. They have rolling subs, so suggested to start another player, and when ready swap me over...
Same player that wouldn't listen to warnings and got duly binned, while in bin carried on with dissent. So sent her for early shower...

Wouldn't go, threatened to abandon, she goes giving me all the F and C bombs. Had enough so called it. 51 minute.
So now I'm having a break, and in January i'll have a serious think whether I'll continue with this crap or get my ass into gear and go for L4 and leave
The amateurs to their own devices

Have you tried applying and officiating in different leagues?

I have officiated in my Senior County League for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. It is one of the reasons (along with having two young children, one only a week old!) that I won’t go for promotion to Level 4. I would miss the officiating I do now, so much.

I wouldn't be waiting anywhere near that long, once it gets to the scheduled kick off time just tell them that they either start now with a different player, or start with 10, or you will be abandoning the game. You can't allow teams to mess you around like that, as once they've delayed the game for 40 minutes they will think they can get away with whatever they like.

Make sure it is all reported, but also remember that all referees go through streaks like this. I had one season where it was joked that the London FA were going to give me a staff ID pass given the amount of time I spent at disciplinary hearings, but then I didn't have any others for several seasons. Take some time out to think about it and that time will give you the answer: if you are missing it you will want to get back out there, if you aren't missing it then perhaps refereeing just isn't for you. There'd be no shame in that, it isn't something that suits everyone, but in my experience the majority of referees realise they are missing it and come back to it.

@RustyRef
They had 13 players, they could have started with 11, easily.
For now, I think a break is needed. Since August I've been doing 4 games at weekend and in 2 occasion I've done 5 and 6 games.
I'm only 9 games away from promotion to 5, and was hoping to get promoted before end of year, sadly not now.
I'm away after Xmas and i'll take this time to unplug and re charge.
