Interesting game in terms of close offsides and allowed/disallowed goals.

First goal was allowed despite a close call looking offside to the naked eye on the freeze frame. No graphics were shown on my replays. Thoughts?

Yeah, I can just about see a leg on the far side, but still looks offside with no lines drawn.

I too thought it was well off from the initial TV images, but this was the VAR image.

Looks like it's the trailing leg of the player that you can't see in the photo in the OP because a chelsea player is in front of his leg.

The sill shot @one posted isn't a bad training example of why it matters that ARs have great positioning to make calls . . .

Can remember which game but only recently we had another onside call where the trailing leg of a defender on the far side to the camera for 'mostly' hidden from the view of the camera angle.
