What a shambles this is. What a waste of money the county FAs have invested in a pile of **** not properly tested not functioning as intended and a CEO of the company that cant string 2 sentences together to explain how even he thinks its supposed to work. No consideration to neurodiversity, equality, diversity and its most certainly not inclusive. The biggest pile of **** I have ever come across in administering the game. No laptop version and the app is full of bugs all over the place. What clown tested this and worse what clown staked money with these idiots?

Perhaps your time and effort would be better spent putting together some more constructive and less insulting feedback to provide directly to Centre Circle, rather than posting this here?

From my take, the app has been okay. I agree it's a bit buggy, sometimes it doesn't load and I have to force close it. But when its open the functionality is fine. I like that you have to open dates rather than close.

It's not really anything worth cursing and being insulting over, though. Remember this is a referee forum and I would be surprised if the person you are using offinabus towards wasn't one of our colleagues. If someone said this to/about you on the FOP you would issue a red card and report them. Perhaps you could be a little more constructive in your feedback and be a little more kind with the delivery?

Have you seen the short 1 min demo where the very 1st thing it says you can access dates here doesnt actually present as described. Its a complete shambles chaoticly organised with no consideration to neurodiversity equality diversity and is FAR FAR FAR from inclusive. I call it what it is a pile of **** I have also had a league ref secretary slate the CC albeit less choice language

thanks thats the 1st ive seen of laptop version it amazed me this wasnt distributed i.e. a laptop version way ahead of season so thanks for that. Interesting I notice how all comments focussed on language and none on lack of EDI

Perhaps because this is a referee forum rather than a software reviewing site?

I understand that the software is referee related, but it's peripheral to the purpose of this site, and I just don't think other people have managed to achieve the anywhere the same level of anger as you. Or perhaps they are and have decided to contact CC instead as they are able to do something about it.

If I had been paid a tiny bit of what the CC no doubt have been to properly test this CC then sure I could happily do that, but I expect it to work and function and have basic stuff working properly its obvious it wasnt properly tested and the county have been taken for a ride. It has I believe 4 BASIC very basic features from ref perspective:
1. game allocated - doesnt work
2. spare games allocation - is shambolic disorganised, chaotic and search features get stuck and are untrue TBH not much DOES work
3.Chat - but lots missing and the descriptors are as clear as mud
4. Availability - works in a design something around face is one way putting it
and who creates ANY sorta app without basic help sections?
as for the remainder of this app i may take a look again if it ever works in meantime i hope the leagues and county and so on enjoy the emails and phone calls they must be getting because if the frank communication from one league ref secretary is anything to go by its increased admin not decreased it!

Shall I refrain from chatting about VAR? The reason I mention CC is because its flawed in so many ways not just one or two teething issues. Maybe my expectations are different to others in that basic tasks i expect to work and a 1 min demo video i expect if im told your home pages has 'this' to actually see 'this' not that etc. Might just be me happy to own that!

F SAKE having had to reboot my phone after the naff App crashed it, it then did same on my laptop.
Have not had anything like this. What phone/operating system are you on? Is the app up to date? Software up to date? Phone still supported for updates?

1 3 and 4 have all worked fine for me as a referee. Perhaps a PICNIC (problem in chair not in computer) issue?
Haven't tried 2 so can't pass comment.
Again no one here can help solve your problems with the app, and your concerns are better raised to your county FA or to the developer direct.
You're not getting much support here which to me suggests that you are not reacting proportionately to the issues you are facing.

definitely no picnic issue here, i did get a link to online version (thanks to person posted) no idea why that hasnt been officially circulated though

Perhaps ask your CFA rather than unloading on here? I’ve used the desktop version from day 1 so it isn’t a new thing.

I've grown to like Centre Circle now after initially finding it a tad confusing. (Although I still think the calendar/opening dates and fixtures functionality isn't logical - but that could just be the way my brain works as I get older!).

I'm curious why some county FAs have it and others don't. Surely different counties using different processes isn't promoting a coherent structure nationwide?

I'm a Referee Secretary so have had many conversations and meetings with Rohan and Jordan regarding Centre Circle. The App was built from the ground up with County FA's (including Cheshire and Manchester) literally spearheading the ideas inputted. The App is buggy, at times, and particularly the last week as they've been having issues on their end, and I've been vocal with CC about my frustrations with a lot of aspects, so by no means am I here to blow smoke up their backsides.

With that being said, they one of the best support networks around (responses when emailing are generally within a couple of hours) and have always been open and excited to hear new ideas that they can add in. In one of my first meetings with Rohan a couple of years back, he showed me all the ideas that they'd banked to work on in the near future. The list was massive! And so many of them are now in the app.

So I think a better use of your time than coming on here and shouting and screaming about an app, you should contact their support team. From first hand experience, they are brilliant.

Just don't see why they had to use another app for appointments - I'm sure MOAS was meant to be rolled out to all.. But at least the County FA's etc have standardised on 1 platform now - I have had several in the past. My appointments officer is constantly updating mine for me as I keep picking up "official" (MOAS) games..

I find YesRef easier to use as a referee only but have no experience which is better for those loading games and appointing using it.

I’ve used CC for county cup availability over the last couple of seasons and didn’t really like it. This season our league has gone over to it and I am warming to it. Match confirmations and reports are much easier to do now. I still don’t like opening dates rather than closing them but that’s just my opinion as it’s what I’ve been used to doing for 20+ years. I haven’t had any technical issues so far this season so am happy to use it.
