The Ref Stop
I have absolutely no idea why it goes wrong for me constantly. I change nothing between matches, I upload the games push them to the watch, then when I finish the match I push finished matches back to my phone. It just does not seem to work well with the Garmin app it seems.
Out of 24 matches this season, I have failed to have GPS data from 10 of them. Either GPS pushed from the app to my watch/strava even if it shows on the app. Or no data at all.

I really enjoy using it but struggling to justify the cost if I am not getting the statistics I am interested in.

It's also now been 8 days since I emailed with no response (other than the automated one).
I'm a new user of Refsix. I'm using a Garmin Forerunner Watch. I'm having constant problems getting the bluetooth connection to work, and consider myself tech savvy. I have finally got a pairing between watch and phone after uninstalling on both, performing a hard reset on both, and removing my 'connected device' entry on my online account. However now they are showing as paired, the actually sync fails with a bluetooth out of range error. Other bluetooth stuff works fine. Looks like some sort of B/T driver issue with Refsix App and the Garmin tech. to me. Summary: Apple Great, Garmin flaky.

I had this issue with my Apple Watch on Tuesday before my first game of the season. Managed to get it fixed 10 mins before kick-off somehow. Seems to be working fine again now though. The app has been a bit more temperamental in the last few months I've noticed.

This I could not be bothered with. Faffing about trying to sort tech. Would have me spinning and undoubtedly affect my game

I can completely understand why some people don't like it, and I have, on a couple of occasions, not bothered if it's been playing up and just used pen and paper (I do always have these as a back up and keep physical records as well just in case!) as it does annoy me as well. However, when it does work or can be fixed, I do use REFSIX as I have used it since my very first game so it's just part of my matchday routine now.

I’ve never actually used Refsix, what exactly do you record in it? Do you stand there inputting data on your watch in the middle of the pitch or is it something you do after the game?

Goals, cards, and subs are the data you can input. You can also use the additional time feature so that you can keep an easy record of stoppage time without having to remember everything in your head. You input the data there and then but the most it takes is normally 3/4 clicks and less than 5 seconds usually. You can go back and add it after the game but if you use the pro version and do it during the game you can see where on the pitch each offence took place for the cards so I do it during the game.

Did you just comment on a very dead thread without commenting 'thread dead, no redemption' and closing it?

You can record as much or as little as you like. There are options to input all player names and numbers in on your phone before the match, send it to your watch and record cautions, reds and everything else on there, then get all your running data and everything back on your phone after the match.
Personally, I don't even use my phone, I create a match on the app, 'Home team' vs 'away team' and use it to time the match and record score. That way, it's not fiddly or faffy and very little can go wrong. I still record my cards on my card.
