Once you get to officiate on step 3/4 football in England, so L4 as an assistant, there's an unwritten expectation that the officials will all have the same kit. But it is just that, unwritten, and at lower levels there is no such expectation.

It might be expected, but I saw a step 3 game this season where one of the ARs most definitely didn't have the same kit as the other two officials. Perhaps his washing machine had conked out.
