Think we were all in agreement that it should have been a red....... But Tierney and the AVAR come across so bad

The Ref Stop
I actually thought the dialogue between Pawson and Gillett was really interesting in that Gillett was very good at recognising the foul right away and Pawson initially seemed to be needing convincing and then when he was convinced it was a foul, he straight away thought it was SFP but Gillett effectively refereed that situation by telling him it's just reckless and Pawson quickly went along with what the VAR has said and went for yellow.

In this instance because yellow would of been way more correct than a red it's not too much of an issue but I'm not too comfortable how the VAR effectively refereed the sanction, if Pawson thinks it's a red, then surely he's entitled to produce a red card in that instance especially as we get told, the referee holds all disciplinary outcomes.

Are we watching the same clip?

I was on about the clip Sky have posted from the programme involving Chelsea v Spurs with Spurs goal ruled out because of a foul in the build up.

Having listening to it again, I think Pawson wanted it in full speed and different angles because of the sanction only, not because he may of initially been unconvinced it was a foul. I'm still not keen on VAR effectively telling him just consider it reckless when we always been told the referee holds all disciplinary outcomes at the screen.

The Tarkowski tackle audio is a shocker for both the referee and the VAR/AVAR. I think that is closest I've seen Howard Webb doing a Willie Collum and throwing his officials under the bus, barely even tried to defend them.
