After the Semi-Final appointments were released today, who do we think is in with a running of getting the final?

Saw someone on X say about Sam Barrot but after a couple performances I've seen from him this season, I'm certainly not convinced he should be anywhere near it.

Personally think Jarred Gillet has had a fairly good season and should be in with a running. John Brooks had the Carabo Cup final so doubt he'd ever get given both. Not convinced either with Simon Hooper but think he could be in with a chance. Rob Jones maybe another likely option?

Defo can see that happening and would be pretty happy with that too. Think he's gone fairly unnoticed this season which tends to be a somewhat good thing

I don't think Gillett will get it this year tbh. He's a good referee but I think he's got more to give yet so they'll probably save him. Maybe the Championship Play-Off final for him though? Simon Hooper I'm definitely not convinced with. Rob Jones is a great ref so could be an option.

I wouldn't say that rules you out necessarily I did Wolves vs Albion twice this season in academy fixtures who wanted "neutral" officials as it were (one was my sole cup final). I'm a Wolves fan obviously. Plus with all the Liverpool fans thinking PGMOL is against them they would just assume you support Liverpool anyway!

I personally don't think he's at that level yet tbf. He's decent but definitely not even in my top 5 for the FA Cup final this year.

Think Brooksy is out of it because he had the Carabo Cup Final but yeah defo think he would be up there.

Agree with the rest but I'd put Gillett above Jones for me.

That's the only reason I think he won't get it. Had anyone else done the league cup my nailed on prediction would have been Brooks. Edit: tbh I think Brooks will still be involved in some manner. 4th or VAR maybe?
