Feel like this thread is probably a good place to share a story from the weekend…
Well it starts back at the start of the season where a SG1 and FIFA assistant referee (yes, pick that one up) ran the line to me on an FA cup EP round match, and advised me to get a new coin because the one I was using wasn’t immediately clear as to which is heads and tails.
Fast forward about 6 months and I finally got my finger out my arse and followed his advice.
Fresh from china via Amazon, I ordered a brand new coin like this:

No heads or tails, just a very obvious red or blue.
I then re-injured myself after it arrived, but Saturday was my comeback. I was excited to use my new coin.
I called in the captains, did my little spiel, held out the coin and looked the away captain in the eye…
‘Your call’ I said… ‘Heads, or tails?’

Personalised whistle - why?

WHY NOT??? Agree that there's no relationship between type/amount/flashiness of equipment and ability, but to me it's fun to have colour coordinated whistle/shirt/notepad /nail colour/pen...I'm hopeless at fashion in my general life, but for games I like to be well put together.

I have the pinky-purple Nike but I’ve only found one other colleague with it. My teams today have weird colours so it might get a run out if I can engineer it. It’s the best looking shirt I have.
