What sanction are you all giving for this? (starts at 5:44)

The Ref Stop
Might be worth adding a couple of extra options in the poll; Red SFP & Red DOGSO

First of all, that green and red kit is awful.

I think he explains why he didn’t so SFP quite well. And glancing blow is a very accurate phrase after the last few weeks.

I’d say I’m inclined for DOGSO

More importantly, "semi-pro"? could start a whole thread on when a ref (if ever) becomes semi-pro!

DOGSO for me

I tend to agree it isn't SFP, but equally would understand if it was. Likewise, on film it looks like DOGSO but I'm not 100% and in real time I can completely understand the BOD being given to the defender.

Not that is should matter too much, but the reaction of the players suggest his decision wasn't contentious.

Without wanting to out myself too much, my son plays for one of the youth teams and I completely agree! 😂

I have never ran a line in step 6 so am no expert, but surely this isn't a indication of the level of football?
It's been many years since I ran a line in the Manchester Premier League and Leicestershire Senior League (Step 7?) and I swear it was miles above this.
Maybe I've exaggerated it in my own mind!

I think overall standard at step 6 is down. Increase in teams competing at step 3, 4 and 5 has hoovered up a lot of skill to those steps where previously there was less opportunity.

The other thing about north west is there is a very high concentration of elite academies and therefore a higher concentration of players who are very good but never made it and so play at lower levels of NLS.

Having moved away from the north west to a place with little to no elite academy that is the standout differential to me.
