WEEK 23 REVIEW
We're well into the second-half of the season now, so I gave you a choice of two sets of fixtures to pick from and had them balanced best I could with the betting odds. Just two people went for the set that contained the African Champions League match (1-1) with the other eight opting for the set with the top-two in the Swiss Super League (2-2). In both sets, the first match upset the majority with Raith Rovers winning at Falkirk, and Brighton winning at Old Trafford. Match two in both sets was more of a home banker, which Leeds and Rangers duly delivered with everyone scoring and it was @RefereeX who got his first Treble-Top of the season with 15 points from Rangers winning 5-0.
Match three in both sets was the overseas game, both draws and a handful of points shared round with trebles for @JamesL as well as the two players who picked set one (@one and @holbeach ref). Those two came a cropper though with Everton swatting away Spurs, while everyone else bagged points from Ipswich getting tonked by City. Forest gave One and Holby 5s, while no one had United Women winning across town.
In the bonus game, Rangers and Hearts Women both kept clean sheets north of the border as did Birmingham City. Thoughts and prayers with @Josh the referee whose Bayer Leverkusen went into stoppage time 3-0 up and conceded in the 92nd minute to turn that green five into a red one and cost him a place in the table. Other than that, mostly as you were but Firs and James leapfrog Essers.
