At grassroots it will depend mainly on the weather. In a season with mainly good weather many leagues will have finished by Easter, especially as it is late this year. Whereas in a disaster of a season where many weekends are lost to the weather they will sometimes be playing right to the end of May.

Some Sunday leagues don't schedule games at Easter at all, as under FA rules players cannot be compelled to play on religious holidays.

As others have said, it really does depend on a lot of things. The weather has been generally quite poor this winter in my area, meaning I've lost 6 weekends worth of games. As a result, whilst my season was due to end on the 19th/20th April (which just happens to be Easter) for the league I primarily officiate on, it is now looking like we'll be going well into May, with more midweek fixtures too. Some clubs have 9 fixtures left, whilst some have almost 20 (some grounds have been worse off than others, some have had more midweeks etc). It all comes down to circumstances ultimately. Youth leagues generally pause over the Easter break though. I'd ask the fixtures/ref secs for the leagues you are wondering about if they have many fixtures planned over Easter if you want to know what you'll be missing.
