Goal line technology working very well.

But with an observer hat on, I want ask the referee about a defensive DFK in the 92nd minute. The referee allowed the DFK to be taken quickly about 10 yards from the point of the foul. It lead to a fast break, cut short by a yellow card SPA foul, the resulting free kick lead to a goal.

I though this was a major mistake by the referee and directly contributed to the changing the match result.

Yeah, he shouldn't have allowed it to be taken from the wrong place. I wouldn't say it directly contributed though, and certainly won't go down as an incorrect KMD as play was stopped and restarted in-between. What directly contributed was Jorginho cynically hacking down the attacking player to give away the free kick.

Fernandes in Stuart Atwell's face on several occasions, no hint of repremand, let alone a card. Not the only offender by a long way, both sides were guilty of it. Fred carded for his penalty decision protest, Fernandes & McTominay should have been as well.

Bizarre post match comments from Fernandes regarding penalty decision, admits he didn't actually see the incident or the (rugby tackle) contact but still decided to question the decision :wall:

LOL, I just commented on exactly that in a different topic at the same time. He has made himself look a complete tool in those comments, but sadly it also highlights how ingrained it is in professional footballers.

Also the game was stopped for at least 30 seconds to issue the booking to Joringho in added time followed the by celebrations of the goal lasting at least a minute, yet Attwell blew for full time on 96:06 in a game with 6 added on
