Can you run the line in Isthmian league as a L6 referee?
Assistants on the Isthmian League are Level 4.Can you run the line in Isthmian league as a L6 referee?
Okay thank you. I am level 7 now, and can be an assistant on the Combined Counties, but which league is below that where L6/L5 can run the line?Assistants on the Isthmian League are Level 4.
Thank you very much, so L6 and L5 can run the line at step 5?The highest level a referee can run the line is supply league, so step 5. ARs are L4 at steps 4 and 3, and L3 at steps 2 and 1 (or specialist ARs). Although this season many L5s have had games at step 4 due to the shortage of referees across the board.
The Isthmian does have a development U23 league and that is a good way for L5s and below to get experience of senior level football.
Yes, and L7 as well.Thank you very much, so L6 and L5 can run the line at step 5?
I’ve signed up to the u18’s and u23’s as an assistant and am yet waiting for an appointment but I have friends who I go to school with who play in the u18’s isthmian league and from what they describe, it sounds like an excellent league to be in.The highest level a referee can run the line is supply league, so step 5. Don't suppose you have a link to where you signed up? Think I'm looking in the right place but don't want to accidentally try and apply for the senior fixtures at L7! Thank you! One of my best games yet probably in terms of i had a lot to deal with! If you go onto the website, click on the three bars (top right), then on ‘information’ then on ‘contacts’, you can find people. Maybe worth asking the referees Secretary? I signed up to it when I got an email with a google form when I completed my course. I selected it.Don't suppose you have a link to where you signed up? Yes, and L7 as well.
Been happening for years. Current EFL referees ran my line at step 5 when they were L7s, it is making me feel extremely oldI believe that this has become quite common on many step 6 leagues this season.
Have you joined the combined counties Facebook group?Okay thank you. I am level 7 now, and can be an assistant on the Combined Counties, but which league is below that where L6/L5 can run the line?
I'll check them out too, thanks! Really keen not to get stuck just solo middles at sunday league level with no chances to AR and learn from experienced refsHave you joined the combined counties Facebook group?
Many times there are last minute games needing covered, even U18/23s etc.
Be a very good starting point as well as getting your name out there as being interested in doing games.
