Question about a date.

Alright lads, bit of a strange question here and I'm not gonna lie. I didn't really know where to put this.

I am required to submit the month and year I started refereeing on an official document but I'm not sure when to put. I began the course in August 2017 but my final exam was in November 2017. Just wondering which one I should put.

Your qualifying date is just that
