    I am happy with self defence at u12. But for any serious level, deliberately blocking the ball with the arms is a deliberate hb offence...

    I’m not saying it’s not a very poor decision for someone at that level, I’m saying why I think he’s got it wrong.

    It's a reflex action. He's about to potentially get thumped in the chest area by the ball or opponent boot. No way your arms do anything...
