I'm surprised the game went ahead.

15 minutes in the CAR is punched.

The game needed to be abandoned there. That bloke needed arrested asap after that incident.

As a young official myself, who was abused and had someone attempt (unsuccessfully) to assault me near the start of the season, it never fails to shock me how brainless someone can be to treat a child (or anyone) like that. He should be in prison for a very long time.

It doesn't change the seriousness of the incident, but the CAR was 22 rather than a minor.

I agree it doesn't (and rightly shouldn't) change the seriousness, but it does mean it isn't a safeguarding/child protection issue no that there are no minors involved so The FA may not treat it the same.

The coach concerned has benn dismissed by the club, and arrested.
