Windy Whistle nightmare

I use a fox 40 classic whistle and find whenever it's windy it makes a noise and once caused a player running in front of me to stop as he thought I'd blown rather feebly.

Any tips on how to stop the noise or any whistles you use which don't suffer the same problem?

I have this issue. I have it on a wrist lanyard and will sometimes put my finger or thumb (think it is my thumb) over the blow bit to stop it whistling as I run.

Either that or try angling it against the wind as you run. (Or with the wind, depending on what way you see it.)
