Welsh Reffing System

Steve C

The Unfit one!
Hey guys, (aled and sm in particular) how does the welsh refereeing system compare to the english one? If i moved to wales and got promoted through the levels, if i then moved back to england, would my promotions be recognised by the English FA

The Referee Store
I know a chap who went from English grade 5 to welsh 3a

Working from that I suspect 3b - area fa referee in Wales - would earn a 6 in the English system.

@matty639 also has knowledge of the transfer process I believe

Ah right ok, im an english 7 at the moment so im not sure what thatd translate to, if i was to stay in england id want to try to go to 5 next season

Can one do this in Wales?

Not sure you can double jump in Wales? I've not heard of it, but me not hearing of it doesn't mean it's not possible.

:)

I moved over as a 6 and became a 3b so as SM says, as a five you would become a 3a.

I knew someone who moved to Wales as a level 5, to study medicine. Went up the ladder, and ended up running the line on the Welsh Prem. When he graduated and moved back to England many years late, the FA made him a 5.
