Correct thing to do IMO. Loose hair can be a safety hazard, you would have been wrong in law to continue if she didn't have it secured.

Nobody reacted, home team were 6 or so goals up at the time so no issues re time wasting or that.

One gripe of mine was adult male players asking for a game to be held up for laces... I never ever held up any game for that. Kid level is a bit different but the adults asking were always 'PLAY ON'!!! Loved it when the joined in play with one boot off!!!
