Yesterday a team had a goal chalked off and the other team were given a penalty.

My question is if a player commits DOGSO while the play is going on and VAR are reviewing, is that red card cancelled?

If you chalk off "a good goal" surely subsequent events also need to be cancelled too?

A red card for DOGSO would not stand but a red card for VC/SFP would.

As @onthebrink posted, it depends on the kind of offense. Since DOGSO is predicated on a goal scoring opportunity, it would be wiped because there was not a GSO. On the other hand, VC is solely about the event itself and does not require the ball to be in play, it would absolutely stand.
