VAR - disallowed goal controversy- offside (interfering with an opponent)

After the terrible decisions in the first 2 weeks, the A-League boss told the VAR to lift the bar of 'clear and obvious error'. Now they've gone too far the other way and aren't intervening.
Maybe so but from what I've seen of a large number of the VAR decisions being given in European leagues recently, some of them seem to have more or less abandoned the 'clear and obvious error' idea and are just reviewing every potential offence in the lead-up to a goal, no matter whether it was clear error or not.

And that was the norm in the world cup too.
