If a team, winning at the end of a match and wanting to run down the clock, kicked the ball as far as they can off the pitch (while in play), could you caution them for unsporting behaviour? I know that players are entitled to kick the ball wherever they want, but when it is that blatant can you card them?

I don't think so, but you should make it clear that you will add on all the time they think they are wasting.

Yeah same as justylove you can't really caution them because they can kick it away as far as they like when it's on the pitch, but normally putting your finger on your watch, holding it above your head and telling them that times off usually stops that if you do it early enough.

Thanks - that's what I suspected but was wondering if I could get away with cautioning for the blatantness (if that's a word!) of the time wasting
