Unbelievable shoot out incident

A similar thing happened to me in a cup final which I was reffing a couple of weeks ago.
Penalty shoot out - goalkeeper saves the ball, starts to get up to punch the air in celebration - whilst he is doing this, the ball he has saved is slowly curling back into the goal, and he couldn't get there in time to stop it from going in!
His team won however, so his teammates weren't that annoyed!

Happened to me to me yesterday, I was refereeing a girl's school tournament and in the final for 1st & 2nd place the penalty that would decide if they won or not hit the bar, went upwards bounced on the floor and back-spinned into the net.. Obviously the goal keeper at this point was on the edge of the box celebrating! what are the chances ..
