The Ref Stop
Any translation available? My initial reaction is that the striker has had to take evasive action and therefore it's a foul.

I'm not sure I'm just asking on people's view on this as if you pause it at the right moment you can see that he starts to go down before he's even touched which would annoy me as a referee but you're probably right

Defender’s made a sliding challenge, he’s missed the ball and he’s clipped the attacker. This seems like a clear-cut penalty unless I’m missing something.

This is not a case where the attacker initiates the contact. There is a careless tackle that completely misses the ball, and the attacker goes up to get above before getting clattered. I don’t see this play as controversial at all.

It's a foul but one I'd hate to give. It ticks all the boxes for a carless challenge, but it is also a clear dive.

Alternatively, he sees the challenge coming and has to take evasive action?
Taking evasive action means he would continue moving his right foot (wich is not touched) forward, plant it on the ground in front of him and prevent himself from falling. It would be the natural movement when the left foot is 'triped'. But instead he leaves the right foot behind and ensures a fall.

@Xavier, time to recharge your phone 🤣

But if you go sliding in like that, even if you attempt to pull back from the challenge, you are always going to give the referee a decision to make.
