The Ref Stop

This assistant referee is clearly not happy

as the video says, parental control, lots of bad language so definitely not, not, not, for the younger members of our community

The Ref Stop
When we talked about the 'relieving an assistant of his duties' section of the LoTG at my class, we all rolled our eyes, laughed and wondered why FIFA had bothered to include it. This video is the answer why…

I mean the obvious issue of the AR is there but does anyone else question the fitness of the referee? Also, why is he wearing a ball cap?

i think that the ref could have handled it better tho he clearly knew paco well enough to know what a drama queen he could be

as for the cap, that's american soccer for you :)

In the referee's defence - there are times in our climate where it is necessary for officials to wear caps otherwise it would be impossible. It's not unusual for me to have a rolled up cap tucked in the back of my shorts when AR at certain grounds with later kick offs, although I only use it when absolutely necessary as I don't feel it looks the most professional.

A 2:45 KO, in June/July could give me and hour and a half of full sun in my eyes, resulting in missed calls/offsides and a blinding headache.

Granted, it would be extremely unusual for the ref to wear a cap, but we do have a couple of guys who use sports-safe sunglasses when on the whistle.
