Was chatting to someone at work and he noticed during the Euros the extra official always stands on the left side of the goal, ie the same side as the lineo.
Obviously being a ref I get asked pretty much every minor details about the LOTG and he asked why. His logic being if they stood the other side then they wont be in the linesmans sight and therefore the extra official could watch over the other side of the area.
I'm sure there is a reason why they have it how it is, but does anyone know?
