Found this on youtube, not sure what I would have done in this situation so thought I'd see what you lot think.

Henry played the ball before Friedal could kick it, and scored but the goal was disallowed. Was the ref right here?

Correct decision.

The ball is considered to be in the keepers control when releasing the ball from his hand to kick the ball (e.g in this situation). Therefore he cannot be challenged, and an indirect free kick is to be awarded.
 
Correct decision, you can't interfere with the GK while he is kicking from hands.

Would be a harsh caution for USB in that particular situation, but you might be able to sell it.
