Refsix and Samsung Watch 5 timeout issue

After any ideas from folks with a Samsung Watch5 Pro.

Refsix all good(ish) but I have an issue that the screen keeps going off or to sleep or back to the home screen even through I have it set to screen always on. It seems to log the match, but I have to keep navigating back to R6 to see the time or add goals.

I've got it set so that it doesn't close R6 in the background, but can't seem to make it simply stay on.

Any ideas?

The Ref Stop
I've had the same issues with the Samsung Watch6 sometimes, tried a couple of settings but nothings worked properly. Always tends to happen after I've tapped it to record a stoppage.

I use galaxy watch 6.
There is a setting you can add somewhere so that if you double-tap one of the side buttons (i've set mine to the top button) on the watch, it'll open an app of your choosing. I used that to open refsix - very handy for quick access.

Is this a recent issue for you? I've had a similar thing happening on my Apple Watch Series 3 since one of the later updates.

Yes. I've got t that set up. That's the only way I can make it usable. I double press the home button and it opens R6. To be fair it is a really good function as it save faffing about, especially when you have a wet screen.

I have found a setting I'm going to try this afternoon.

Settings > Display > Show Last App > Within 1 hour

I am hoping that if it goes to screen off, it will reopen on R6 and not return to the home screen.

I have same Watch. This happens in select matches and I have no idea why. Incredibly frustrating when the manager asks how long to go, and I take 10 seconds to answer!

The only thing I'd say about this is that there are (obviously) more important things to worry about. Don't let that distract you from what's going on around you.

No, two. But my Samsung watch is far more accessible and accurate (when working) compared to my Casio. Sometimes I forget what time we kicked off so need to refer to my Samsung more often!

So this seemed to help. The screen did time out, but it opened up back on R6 each time.

I made sure that it was set to turn the screen on when you raise wrist or touch the screen as well. If I wanted to check the time I would tap before, give it a second and then look. This meant I could keep my eyes on the game. Not the perfect solo, but workable.
