Referee Levels and Categories

I'm a bit confused. Does the SFA and FA have different gradings for Referee's. I'm whats called a Cat 6 in Scotland, which allows me to referee any youth or womans game but I also do amateur/open age games too. In Scotland Cat 1-4 are whats called listed officials, they do the professional, semi-professional leagues, 5-6 do amatuers and 7 are mostly the first season newbies who do youth games. What do the levels do in England?

Think we've had a couple of queries regarding this recently, so I'm going to post - and pin - the English FA levels & pyramid system in full later on.

But in short, yes the levels differ slightly, as they do throughout the world and various FA's
