Junior/Youth Red Card - Serious Foul Play

Hi Guys,

I had an U16 Boys match at the weekend. The game was quite heated as both teams were neck and neck at the top of the table. I managed to control tempers well until 10 minutes into the second half.

The attacker over kicks the ball out of his control and the Goalkeeper comes out and collects the ball. As he collects it the attacker continues his run (somewhat unnecessarily) and studs up hits the Goalkeeper in the head. Upon inspection the Goalkeeper had stud marks above his eye.

I deemed this Endangering an Opponent hence sending him off for serious foul play.

I'm keen to hear your thoughts

Thanks

What height was the keeper's head when the contact was made? Did he catch it stood up, was he crouching down, laid on the floor, etc? You have to decide whether the attacker's actions were careless, reckless, or used excessive force.

With all these incident you have to be there. From description, its an easy send off but this takes it well and truly over the line for me.
attacker continues his run (somewhat unnecessarily)

Out of interest @Georgeref , did the attacking team accept the red card relatively easy or were they protesting it's not a red card?
