Agree, I was expecting dissent but support offinabus.I don't think it's just dissent. I think the gestures of the player in line with what he may or may not have said are designed to demonstrate to everyone that the referee is 'thick in the head' or similar.
I think cautioning for dissent is probably easier, but I don't think OFFINABUS is incorrect.
It will be interesring to see if the player appeals and if so how much support will the referee get from UEFA.Player tries the classic I was saying something else trick (I think he is trying to say he was saying the defender hit him in the head).
Yeah I've just seen Reubyn Ricardo's from Saturday... Caution for dissent, followed up with immediate red card for OFFINABUS (presumably). These examples are great for the game, it shows our levels that these comments and actions are unacceptable and not welcome in the game
Don't think you can appeal in UEFA competitions. Even in England you can't appeal OFFINABUS, and we love an appeal. It will be interesring to see if the player appeals and if so how much support will the referee get from UEFA.
Pretty sure that's it, he's telling him he's not right in the head. I think he then also says something as the referee seems to go for his top pocket but then changes his mind and pulls the red out.I don't think it's just dissent. I think the gestures of the player in line with what he may or may not have said are designed to demonstrate to everyone that the referee is 'thick in the head' or similar.

You can actually claim wrongful dismissal for OFFINABUS at Step 4 and above!Even in England you can't appeal OFFINABUS, and we love an appeal.
