It's a behind the scenes trial to see if everything works technology wise. There will be no communication between the VAR and referee and no decisions will actually be changed.

You know how people don't read the article in 2018! When you see a headline that says "Premier League to trial VAR", it's pretty easy to think that means VAR will be changing decisions.

we started this in Australia, VAR still got it wrong more often than right when it was implemented.
Can’t they put some sticky tape over it..
