I'm 26 and I'm coming to the end of my first full season refereeing. I've only done open age and I've probably done about 12-15 games so far this season.

I'm really looking to progress but was wondering if you can stick to just being an AR? Or are you required to still referee games?

Nope, as a condition of your (future) promotions you'll be required to referee X matches per season.

I really can't comment on how things are done in your neck of the woods, but I am 'discussing' with my appointments secretary the way forward for me. I would like more games in the middle, but I get (to my mind) too many games on the line, at a higher level of game.
