Muddy goal areas

I have my first match as a newly qualified L9 referee on Saturday.
It happens to be at my local park, that I know suffers quite badly from mud and pooling water around the goal mouths.
As it's so wet at the moment, we are clearly not going to avoid it being quite sticky, but at what point should I consider abandonment?

If you see that there is enough standing water to seriously affect ball. If ball stops in puddle, I wouldn't necessarily abandon but warn teams before hand.

If it is so wet that it is very slippery then I'd say abandon because of high risk of broken legs

Really shouldn't be an issue at this point of the season. You may find some small pools but probably not enough to walk away.
If in doubt follow the advise above.

As far as mud, if you get stuck in it whilst trying to run trough it, game over (or not starting even). Ground should still be fairly hard at the moment though, but not for long if this rain continues.

as above, i tend to follow the rules:

if it doesnt bounce well then thats a no go (ive had a pitch before where i threw the ball at the ground and it barely left the ground again)

and as SM said, if you get stuck in it then a no go either

ive never been too worried about the ball stopping in a muddle, makes for ever such good entertainment watching 2 fellas practicly kick water at each other!
