I have had the same club 4 times this season I’ve booked one of the managers twice and reported him for pre match issues once and then last night I sent off his partner in crime. Why does nothing seem to ever happen

How do you know nothing happens?
What are you expecting, sine die?
A caution, is exactly that. They get a little admin fine from FA.
Send off may see a ban.

The repercussions aren’t not your concern if you’ve reported them properly.

Individuals may well have been sanctioned (warned, fined, suspended) for games you’ve not been involved with… and that’s not your business.

Not our concern.
If they cant behave, keep doing what you are doing

We are not judge or jury, just do as you feel need to and the admin/league, whoever, will do their role

You except a league committee man watching your game to award a pk in your game after there are five pk claims? no, as referee, thats your role.

in saying that, Craig Levien was on radio the other week, he got fined £1000 once, refused to pay, it got doubled to £2000, then 4, then 8, then 16, then 32k

he simply said no am not paying it, and hired a lawyer who established it was not in the governing bodies remit to double the fine.

in the end, some 4 years later, it got written off.

I completely understand your frustration. But trust me, with a caution and sending off the FA have to do the required admin. With a report, it becomes a bit harder and the FA have been known not to always give the refs the support they fully deserve*. But I get seeing the same thing happen over and over again is frustrating. Hopefully they learn their lesson. Just keep reporting them For cautions

Can I ask what the pre Match report was all about. Or is that too much info for you to share

* - I will add so I’m not just having a go at the FA, that when I filed my report they told me charges were unlikely as it was hard to prove, but the fact my report was there made sure that if another report was made against the person in question then consequences would occur. So it wasn’t a case of them just forgetting about it, they did have it in case another report was made. So if next weeks ref had to deal with the same thing and also reported it, then we’d be in a much better position.

While this may be true in theory, we lose too many referees to abuse and that is not helped by bad taste left with the abused feeling that nothing is being done about it.

I stopped refereeing for a local football association about four years ago for similar reasons. And I was not the only one. Now the OP may be a case of the league is actually taking all appropriate actions. But being seen to be doing something about it helps with referee retention.

Agreed.

I know stuff is being done, I had the cheek to ask about one incident and was told what had happened, but that's very unusual. Normally we don't hear anything, so it maybe feels like nothing is being done, but I'm pretty sure the fines and the procedures do happen.
