Thoughts on this one?

Divided opinion amongst pundits and fans alike, but personally I think it was accidental. Looks bad when slowed down (what doesn't?) but it just doesn't look like he went to elbow him.

Accident in my book. Could even make a case that it was just careless not reckless and therefore not even a Yellow .. despite the obvious and extremely unfortunate impact on Silva

He's keeping his balance, both arms are equally out, looking forward at the ball and if anything g raises his elbow as it to trouble and go over silva (with the height difference of about a foot between them).

As soon as contact made he's bringing his hands up before the wistle is even raised.

As unfortunate, horrible and effing painful as it is, I didn't think anything of it either first time or on replays.

Will be back on Tuesday with a face mask no doubt....

Definitely careless, I don't think you can argue against that. He didn't take all due care in keeping his elbow out of a high-risk area, hence careless. I don't think he did anything potentially reckless, and I don't think it was intentional.
