The Ref Stop
Do you honestly believe that Terry 'went to the press', Ryan

I haven't seen the incident but, from what I've read, I can't help thinking that Phil Dowd is probably the 'spineless' tw@t in this particular instance.

Nope, Because I says that Terry has admitted that he said to Phil to send him off, and that could imply that he is incapable of making these decisions which is defiantly wrong. How can that make you think that about phil? and also the language you have used to portray your opinion is a bit out of order and towards one of your own, we need to stick together.

The subject of Phil Dowd came up the other week in my module 5 actually. Sharpie told us: 'Whatever you do, don't do what Dowd does, give a yellow card and look away from the player. All it makes you look arrogant.'
He's possibly my least favourite ref in the PGMO, I just think he wasn't sure what to do!

I'm not a massive fan of Dowd but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I dislike him. My favourites on the other hand are:
1) Clattenburg
2) Oliver
3) Webb

my top 3 are:

Oliver
Clattenburg
Webb

But assistants wise my favourite is Sian Massey ;)

Yeah he is my second favourite, I've never met him like I have with Sian but, Sat in the front row when he was assistant at Norwich :)

this doesn't add too much to the debate but does appear to show that flores played the ball and then couldn't get his leg out of the way of the chelsea player

ryan, when you say that my language was out of order, had you already forgotten that you had already endorsed monkey's use of the word 'tw@t' or was it 'spineless' that you struggled with

as for 'phil' being 'one of my own' .....perlease!

Personally I cannot see any contact between Flores's foot and the ball

Secondly I never endorsed what Monkey said, But It is John Terry, So with his track record..........

Personally I think that referees need to stick together and not criticise each other unless it is constructive, I personally have seen to much of the referees union being broken.

I accept that there may or may not be contact with the ball by Flores (0.43 seconds in is where i think he may have got a touch, possibly just studs, however slight)

Sorry, it was southend's comment, not monkey's. what is a 'like' if not an endorsement?
