So what do we make of this? Have you ever given a penalty and then a yellow for embellishment?

According to a match writeup, #29 was cautioned for dissent, #99 for embellishment (ie, pretending to be hurt to try to draw a RC I suspect). If he’s cautioned for simulation then he is saying that there was no foul therefore he is totally incorrect in law to award a penalty.
This statement is Incorrect. If he’s cautioned for simulation then he is saying that there was no foul therefore he is totally incorrect in law to award a penalty.
At a recent RA meeting, Kevin Friend indicated that we should steer clear of simulation at grass roots level. That's what it is tho. I'd be telling the attacker to get a lifeIf you aren't giving a foul in this situation (it's a VERY soft one), what would you be doing? Play on but have a quick word? Free kick and yellow for simulation?
This statement is Incorrect.
Law 12
Cautions for unsporting behaviour
• attempts to deceive the referee e.g. by feigning injury or pretending to have been fouled (simulation)
Glossary:
Simulation
An action which creates a wrong/false impression that something has occurred when it has not (see also deceive); committed by a player to gain an unfair advantage
Deceive
Act to mislead/trick the referee into giving an incorrect decision/disciplinary sanction which benefits the deceiver and/or their team
A caution can still be given for attempting to deceive the referee into incorrectly yellow/red carding an opponent after there has been only a careless foul. In other words cautioning for simulation is not the same as saying there was no foul.

I know, I wasn't overly impressed with KF's Q&AOh well now I've heard it all. What other laws should we ignore at grassroots?
Or at what level is cheating okay at?
