The worst thing about that is that there were about five bad tackles before it! It was a kung-fu kick!

@HullRef I would probably put it as SFP although you could make a case for it being violent conduct as it's some sort of Kung Fu style attack...

I would say VC because there is no way that he was challenging for the ball but each to their own

Seen it before and it never gets better, it's in the German leagues of some description. Can't really get worse than that, pretty sure he snaps the guys leg. He gets up and shrugs as if it was a clean tackle.

SFP -- he is tackling the player who is in control of the ball.

But the player isn't really in control of the ball, he has tackled attempting to cause serious injury to the other player with no intention of getting anywhere close to the ball so IMO, it is red for VC

I'm with you. He has ZERO chance of playing the ball, the ball has passed him for a good second at least, that is not a tackle, it is an assault. Red card and I'd be supporting a police prosecution with a witness statement if the club requested so. Ridiculous tackle.

The original video was from a Czech Pub League I believe. It was used on the Basic Course by WRCFA so candidates could demonstrate the ability to write a misconduct report. We use a different video now when one candidate said he felt physically sick on hearing the leg snapping.
