GK injury

Had a fairly even game today, had lots and I mean lots of pushes when going for a headers some more blatant than others, yeah we all know the ones. Anyway second half home team down 2-1 have a corner. Lots of players around the front post, the ball is drilled over the front post and a defender heads the ball half clear away to the penalty spot. it then falls to a Attacker who scuffs his shot towards the near post about 3 yards out when it falls to another attacker who slots home, but as he is passing the ball into the net I notice the keeper down injured. I saw no foul and had no protest till the goal went in. This all happened in the space of about 2 seconds.

What should I have done?

If it was me I would have awarded the goal. You seen no foul and the fact it all happened so quickly.

Goal. If you didn't see the foul then as it happened in such a short space of time.

Awarding the goal is the correct decision. A referee cannot stop the game in those situations. As a matter of interest how badly was the keeper injured?

GK think they are untouchable. The other week had a kid patter caking the ball under his own cross bar, I suspected it was over the line as his feet were about two yards in his own net so seemed impossible he hadn't let it in. Then an attacker jumped and headed it in. The the process the keeper was knocked over. He was furious as was his manager, but he hadn't even tried to jump and get the ball. I agree keepers need some protection but can't expect special privileges. If you saw no foul then it's a goal.

Thanks for the replys. I did award the goal, glad to know it looks like I made the correct decision. The keeper protested as did a few players until the manager came over (to treat the keeper) told his players to get on with as the goal was given. The Keeper claimed he was head butted, but as i said no one appealed for anything until the ball went in. The keeper didnt seem to injured. Carried on after a minute of sitting on the floor.
