Getting a game sanctioned

Hi all,

Just a quick question. One of my colleagues is organising a charity 5-a-side tournament and has asked me to ref; I told him I'd be happy to do it but only if it's sanctioned. It isn't, so what steps need to be taken to get it sanctioned?

Hi Matt,

You will need to contact your County FA for their permission; it's mainly due to insurance. If the tournament has any affect on any leagues within your area, you will have to contact the responsible League officials aswell

Thanks @DB. No issues with leagues as far as I'm aware, just want to cover my own back when I referee it.
