Hi Everone

This is my first post so sorry if I get something wrong.

I've now been refereeing since the summer and was thinking about trying the line. And I was wondering if anyone could suggest a decent pair of flags.

Hi Andrew, firstly, welcome.

Secondly, if you are going to be 'running the line' to more experienced officials, generally they will be the ones who will provide the flags. However, it doesn't hurt to carry a set of your own incase they forget theirs. If it is mainly going to be yourself and colleagues that you can trust using the flags, then I would recommend getting these - they will last for a considerable amount of time and are probably the most popular flag used by officials working with neutral assistants.

If you are going to be giving out your flags to Club Assistant Referees (CARs), then I would probably more likely recommend a set of these. If they do get broken by a club assistant, they aren't quite so expensive. Also be sure to do a bit of digging around, I'm sure Amazon will sell a set much cheaper than the £12 A&H are asking for!
