I was CAR on saturday for a vets game (for the first 20 minutes in any case)
Ref was 65 if he was a day ... his pre match to me was packed with energy, full of smiles and really all he wanted from me was conviction in my decisions correct or incorrect. its all about looking as if your right, he said.
What a lovely man, and despite probably only doing once a month these days, he had knowledge of where both teams were in each division (inter division cup game), how many goals we'd scored in the last game etc
He couldnt run to save his life but noone minded as he carried himself confidently and with the enthusiasm (mentally) of a 20 year old !
