Three last night on MOTD, 1 referee related, two not so but have to get them off my chest
1) Jonathan Pearce - So annoyed by this one I can't even be bothered to look up match or find clip.
High, very high, ball, played forward - defender wrestles attacker to the ground, at this point the ball is about 50 ft above attacker and 20 yards in front of him - JP starts getting excited about a red card and seeing if defender is "last man", before spying a "covering defender" about 20 yards away on half way line.
After watching 3rd replay where (after foul) ball bounces 30
yards away from attacker who is now on the ground, he concedes not a red card because GK would have got there first!!!!!
2) Commentator after Leicester match - "Leicester have failed to extend their lead at the top" Hmmm - 1pt not given to them on Tues then?
3) All - "What a crucial goal that could be" - I AM going to kick the telly in if I hear that on every match from now to end of the season
Rant over - back to work!
