The referee should include in the temporary dismissal period any time ‘lost’
for a stoppage for which ‘additional time’ will be allowed at the end of the
half (e.g. substitution, injury etc...) - what does it mean by include???

Include means "add".

Basically, the time spent in the "sin bin" must be 10 (or 8 if a youth game) minutes actual playing time. 🙂

Let's say you sin bin a player (should be 10 minutes). One minute later there is an injury which takes 5 minute to sort out and restart play. You playe for 2 minutes and another injury taking 4 minutes to clear and ready to restart again.

Now 12 minutes has passed since sin bin started. But the player has to stay at least another 7 minutes in the bin.
