Just throwing a though out there.....

Is there a way of incorporating a diary/availability function for each user?

That way each member could fill in the games they have (allowing other members to see how active they are) and any potential refs sec's to approach users in their areas if they are short of officials for games?

Just a thought.....

I can imagine this wouldnt be fun for Ross to introduce, but I reckon that's actually a really good idea!
 
100% a no-go. We have members under the age of 18, meaning that it would actually be illegal as they'd be publicising their availability and/or location in a public domain.

In addition, what's the necessity for it? Contact your local ref secs and tell them you're available. Unless they're already members here, they're not going to come looking on RefChat! They'll check their 'black book' and then go to CFA
 
Agree with Dan. Child protection etc...

Seems a good idea originally, but IMO, a very laborious task for not a lot of gain!
 
It's actually quite simple to implement but not something I'm happy to do. Sorry
