What are your thought for this violent conduct red card coming from MLS last night? I'm not too sure if it really is a red card or not. Don't get me wrong, he knows exactly what he's doing and even walks about 10 yards to 'Stamp' on him, but the wording of the law for violent conduct is;

"Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or
brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a
team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person,
regardless of whether contact is made."

There was no excessive force used and it would be a stretch to call it brutal, so what do you all think?

its excessive in the fact that that the contact doesnt have to be made at all , however having said that i'd be going more with the fact that its an action designed to get a reaction, and therefore USB

Doesn't matter where he stamps on the player, he's not doing it with anything but the intention to try and harm the player. Red card justifiable all day long for me.
