Reffed a really enjoyable U13 match this morning! I arrived to see a pitch that hadn't been cut and I must admit, I feared the worst but I was pleasantly surprised. Both teams played some fantastic football, didn't argue and just got in with it! Really enjoyable, I was just able to stand back and watch a superb match!
On a personal level, it was just one of those days where I seemed to get everything right and at the end, both managers said that they'd barely noticed me! For me, that's the best compliment you can get as a referee!
