Abandonment

My initial inspection of the pitch saw small patches of standing water on line here and there, but in speaking with the home manager he said if it stopped raining it would drain away fairly quick. However it didn't stop raining and with the game approaching h/t and the away centreback moaning at me I kept saying I would make a decision at h/t. I kept saying o my self that this decision would be easier if the scores were level (which I have since beaten my self up about, if its unsafe at 0-0 its unsafe at 3-0).
So at half time I abandoned the game a despite being 3-0 up the Home manager was really good about it, I know there might be many managers out there who would be very unhappy in that situation.

Anyway onwards and upwards and I certainly learnt from yesterday!

Let's face it, no one likes calling off/abandoning a game, after all we all want a game of football.

You did what you felt was right, people just have to accept it.

Was calling the game off before it started an option?
